About Us
Active Life PhysioCare was founded with a simple goal: to help older adults stay active, independent, and confident in their daily lives.
After more than 20 years working in the NHS and private practice, I saw how often older people were overlooked in physiotherapy. Many clinics focus on sports injuries or short-term rehab, but older adults in care homes and the community face different challenges — staying mobile, preventing falls, managing long-term conditions, and keeping independence for as long as possible.
That gap inspired me to build a service dedicated to this group. By bringing physiotherapy directly into homes and care homes, we remove barriers, give families peace of mind, and make sure older adults get the same quality of care and attention as anyone else.
This is more than just physiotherapy — it’s about dignity, wellbeing, and supporting people to enjoy life to the fullest.

Our Client-centred Approach
At Active Life PhysioCare, every client is at the heart of what we do. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all exercise sheets — instead, we take time to understand each person’s goals, health needs, and daily challenges.
Personalised care – whether it’s standing up from a chair, walking safely, or managing pain, we build treatment plans around what matters most to the individual.
Respect and dignity – we work at each person’s pace, making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and in control of their own progress.
Collaboration – we involve families, carers, and care home staff so everyone is confident in supporting mobility and independence between sessions.
Ongoing review – we regularly adapt programmes to reflect changes in health, recovery, or goals, ensuring therapy stays relevant and effective.
By focusing on people, not just conditions, we help older adults achieve meaningful progress and improve their quality of life.

Our Core Values
Compassion: We treat every client with kindness and respect, recognising the dignity of older adults and the importance of listening to their needs.
Independence: Our goal is to help people do more for themselves — whether that’s standing, walking, or managing daily tasks — so they can live with confidence.
Quality: We bring over 20 years of professional physiotherapy experience and deliver care to the same high standards you’d expect in the NHS.
Accessibility: We remove barriers by bringing physiotherapy directly into homes and care homes, making expert rehab available to those who need it most.
Partnership: We work alongside families, carers, and staff to make sure progress continues outside our sessions, creating lasting benefits.
Together, these values shape every session — from individual rehab plans to group classes — ensuring our services are not only professional, but personal and meaningful.
